I am a newbie here, as well as IR resident currently. Just found out this forum recently, kinda late, but anyway, nice to meet you all!!
I would like to bring in a topic for our discussion here, and not sure maybe it's been brought up before

It's regarding SSP settlement in IR, which I will call them "Leeches"
FYI, these guys know every single thing about the discussion post to this forum
Well, it's good to let them know how unsatisfy we are towards these "Pai Kia"

They claimed that they are the legal contractor that were assigned by developer for the renovation work
But in actual face, these are all bullshit!!
If they are the legal contractor, they should have charge the renovation fees for an appropriate/reasonable amount
Frankly, quotation given by SSP compares to a normal outsider contractor, it's cutting throat
These "Leeches" are getting > 200% from the normal price!! This is too much!!
Same renovation outcome, quality worse than a normal contractor would deliver, but smoehow, price is jacked up
Damn these leeches!!! Earning easy money, as if like robbing someone.
To them is easy money, but to all the residents, it's all hard way money that we earn for living
Buying a house in Penang is consider expensive, and still we need to deal with these idiots!!!
The additional $$ that used to cover the renovation expenses, as a matter of fact, can be utilize to buy additional appliances. Now we have to pay more.
Can even build a "Palace Like" comfortable place in our apartment, with cosy furnitures etc
Initially, thinking of closing one eye and deal with them, but the more i think of giving them easy money, forget it!!!

Reporting to police.. do they care? Of course not!! Since they received $$ from them, and part of "Pai Kia" team
Physically looks like helping, but before they come and raid the place, they had informed them. So these leeches will disappear
As a result, police will blame residents for making false reports, and case closed.
Have you ever seen a cat, given a fish, it will not grab it?
Complaining to Developer, expecting them to do something? Save the efforts.
SSP was assigned by them, which they claimed they didn't. It's IDEAL fault.. Both of them are culprits
The Boss assigned SSP, and he will get part of the $$ from every single successful renovation in IR
So it's make sense why these "Pai Kia" collecting fees > 200% from the actual price. They need $$ for themselves as living.
Think properly.. where does the money comes from?? It's our money, hard earn money!!
As if we are so generous gifting them "Big Ang Pow"... I meant forced to be generous.
Just imagine, the boss is driving BMW... and we are paying for him to drive big car or stay in big houses
Clearly we don't have rights to protect ourselves, this is called bully.
I heard that there is a good "Pai Kia", recently being fired, as he is too lenient to residents, being accused of "Chiak Looi" (Undertable)
Why? Boss not getting any income, do you think that he will sit diam diam?
Pity this "Pai Kia", a good lesson to him. Got proper job don't wanna to do, wanna become "Pai Kia". Better "Balik kampung"

Another fact that I wanna bring up here.
These leeches, so called "Pai Kia" who knows how to bully chinese & Indian, actually they are afraid of MALAYS!!!
Damn cowards!! Dont' call "Pai Kia"... very embarrassing bearing that name... very "Sia Sui"
Why they not dare to touch them and harass them?
They will bring this to UMNO and report it, and for sure local authorities will take stern actions
I have a malay friend, who don't even need to deal with leeches for his renovation works, and don't even need to pay any fees
He taught me about this... such a shame for these so called "Pai Kia"
If I am of of those leeches, don't know where should I to hide my face

Occupying our place for their business is consider illegal.
Moreover, the place that they are setting up as "Office" is a common area.
It's for residents, not for them as we are paying maintanance fees
We definitely need to do something to chase them off, this is our rights
We shouldn't continue to bear their wrongdoings, need to settle this once and for all.
Need to stand together as a community, rally together to get rid of them.

Suggestions::
1. We should form residents committee right away. Can we urge management to form it ASAP? With our own committee, we have the rights to determine our destiny for the sake of IR residents
2. Since local authorities is not taking this issue seriously, I suggest to report this to federal government (Both PDRM & Kementerian Perumahan). We need a petition for this report. And I do believe that Federal Government will look into it why Penang is so corrupted!!
