Australia, May 15, 2008 - EA Today announced that it will be supporting the Australian Spring 2008 release of Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning with a dedicated local server. This is great news for Aussie MMORPG fans (as well as those throughout the Asia-Pacific region, who will also have access to the server) and for Australia in general being taken more seriously as a gaming territory. EA was keen to point out that it’s supplying the local server in response to requests for it from the community. However, should any Asia-Pacific players still wish to connect to the US servers, they will continue to have this option available.
To shed some light on what the local server will mean for gamers and to update us on Warhammer Online’s progress, IGN AU spoke with EA Mythic’s Associate Producer, Josh Drescher.
